A7R Mark III is a type of full frame mirrorless full-resolution camera type from one of the best mirrorless camera brands from Japan "Sony". Just like the Nikon D850, this camera is a mirrorless camera that combines high-speed resolution with very fast autofocus capability.
Sony offers impressive specifications for the A7R III camera. This camera is equipped with a 42.4 megapixel sensor, 10fps continuous shooting, a hybrid AF system that uses a 399 phase detection point that covers about 68% of the frame.
The camera also has 4K video recording capability. Of course with sophisticated specifications, the price of the Sony A7R III is also quite expensive, because this camera is intended for photographers who are already professional.
Sony installed a variety of the latest features on the A7R III. Although there are still many features of the older version of the A7R Mark II, what Sony does makes a big difference in the overall performance of this new camera. The A7R III has become more responsive and offers more features to cover the deficiencies found in its predecessor.
Not only the 5 axis image stabilization feature with the advantage of 5.5-stop lighting, lightweight body, no optical low-pass filter and a wide ISO range. The Sony A7R III is also equipped with a very good 42.4 megapixel full-frame sensor with the same full-frame sensor as the A7R II and with on-chip phase detection for autofocus.
So that the results of this mirrorless camera can be more leverage, Sony also installed the latest Bionx X processor and LSI front-end. This integration carries a range of sensitivity standards of ISO 100-32,000 that can be extended to ISO 50-102,400.
Sony also claims the Alpha A7R III will have a 15-stop dynamic range at low sensitivity settings. This makes the camera can be recorded into 14-bit RAW files even during continuous or still shooting.
The advantages of the Sony Alpha A7R III are not only there. This camera is substantially faster than the previous model. Where the Sony A7R III is able to shoot at 10 frames per second or 8 fps with live view between frames.
It also has a much bigger buffer, which means it can capture 28 uncompressed RAW files in one explosion or 76 compressed RAW or JPEG files. Sony A7R III uses a hybrid autofocus system system that covers most of the image area.
With 399 phase detection and 425 contrast detection points, the A7R III has 2x faster focus. Along with a large increase in focus tracking and Eye-AF performance. Like its predecessor, the A7R III includes 5-axis image stabilization that works with almost all lenses.
Interestingly, Sony also added a new feature called Pixel Shift Multi Shooting. With this feature the A7R III is able to capture four pixel shift images containing a total of 169.6 million pixels of data (then combined on a computer and not inside a camera).
Alpha A7R III also offers 4K video recording (3840 x 2160 pixels), with the choice of using full sensor width or Super 35mm format mode. Additionally, Alpha A7R III now has a new HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) profile that supports Instant HDR workflows.
This enables HDR (HLG) compatible TVs to play back 4K HDR footage, while S-Log2 and S-Log3 are also available. If you want to capture Full HD recordings you can capture up to 120fps, while there are ports for monitoring microphones and audio.
To make it easier for users to get photos of Sony Alpha A7R III, this camera has an electronic viewfinder (EVF) as Alpha A9. With Quad-VGA OLED EVF which has a resolution of around 3,686 k dots and utilizes Zeiss T Coating to reduce reflection.
A7R III supports frame rates that can be adjusted for EVF, with a choice of 60fps or 120fps. The rear screen has also been upgraded to 1.44 million dot WhiteMagic touchscreen LCDs that offer touch focus, selection and even video focus options.
In addition, Sony added a multi-selector (joystick) to the back of the camera. In the storage section, the A7R III uses two SD card ports, one UHS-II and UHS-I.
While in the connectivity section, the A7R III comes with USB 2.0 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ports. Wi-Fi is made for connection to a smartphone or tablet. You can connect the camera using Sony's free PlayMemories Mobile application for Android and iOS.

This allows full remote camera control, complete with live view. You can also geotag images when you shoot using your phone's GPS. That can be done via a newly added Bluetooth connection.
For durability, the A7R III uses the same NP-FZ100 battery as the Alpha 9. With this battery, the A7R III is able to take 650 images using the LCD, or 530 with EVF, according to CIPA testing standards.
