D4S was introduced as the best DSLR camera for professionals. D4S is the latest professional digital SLR camera from Nikon with a 16.2 megapixel FX sensor. The camera is equipped with an EXPEED 4 processing engine, Multi-CAM 3500FX auto-focus module, an RGB measuring sensor of 91,000 pixels.
The magnesium alloy body is also installed to be resistant to various weather conditions. Nikon D4S is equipped with a microphone and headphone jack. An HDMI port is also installed which allows for video recording.
As the best DSLR camera, D4S has an appearance that is not much different from the old version of D4. Performance improvements and a number of features are intended to satisfy various professional photographers. Although the D4S has the same 16.2 megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor resolution, the sensor itself has been redesigned.
The sensor is paired with the latest EXPEED 4 image processor from Nikon. So that it gives 30% faster performance than EXPEED 3. While the standard sensitivity range has been increased to ISO 25,600 and can be increased to ISO 409,600.
Increased continuous shooting is capable of up to 11 frames per second with continuous AF and automatic exposure. The buffer depth increases to a capacity of 200 shots for JPEGs of various sizes or resolutions. In raw mode, D4S is capable of shooting up to 133 frames with lossless compression and 12-bit depth.
The increase in 14-bit depth rose to 78 frames. To complete the Nikon D4S specification, the camera uses a 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX autofocus system. The AF system also introduces a new "AF Group" mode.
This mode activates the four AF points around it to a single AF point to help maintain focus when tracking small subjects. If the subject moves out from the back of the central AF point, the appropriate four AF points can help maintain focus.
D4S also has what is called "AF point position memory". This makes the AF point parallel to the frame when changing from landscape orientation to portrait and vice versa. Interestingly, D4S now includes a Gigabit 1000Base-T Ethernet connection. Nikon thinks it's good to increase transfer speeds up to 185 Mbps.
Another very impressive improvement is the new "RAW SIZE S" file option. This option will produce a 12-bit compressed NEF file at 2,464 x 1,640 pixels with a file size of around 12MB. Battery life has also been improved.
Not only thanks to the EXPEED 4 chip which is more energy efficient, but also the new EN-EL18a lithium-ion battery. With this battery, D4S can take pictures up to 3,020 percharge. Thanks to the new processor, the D4S can now record Full HD video (1,920 x 1,080 pixels; 1080p) up to 60 frames per second.
Unfortunately, the maximum clip length in this new mode is limited to 10 minutes on High Quality (42Mbps) and 20 minutes on Normal Quality (24Mbps). For professional video production, D4S does not only have the ability to produce good videos.
Like 1080p 60 videos that are clean and uncompressed via HDMI for use in external recorders. However, D4S can also record H video, 264 to CompactFlash or XQD internal memory cards. The camera also features enhanced exposure control for videos. Includes the ability to use ISO Auto in full manual exposure mode for video recording.
Audio recording capabilities have also been given upgrades, including audio frequencies that can be selected such as Wide Range and Vocal Range. 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and 3.5mm stereo mic jack are also installed. At the back, now the camera has used a 3.2-inch LCD with 921k-dot.
Whereas the optical viewfinder still remains the same as 100% coverage and 0.70x magnification. Although it has high specifications, D4S does not have internal Wi-Fi connectivity. Instead, you can buy a Nikon WT-5 wireless transmitter that is sold separately.
As the successor to the D4, D4S is able to provide truly great image quality with outstanding performance. This is due to the latest EXPEED 4 image processor in combination with the 16.2 megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor. A slick combination that makes D4S performance 30% faster than the older version.
This also proves that the best DSLR cameras are definitely pegged at a fairly expensive price. Yes, that's natural. As a camera that has high specifications and is intended for professionals, it must be set high.
Speaking of the latest Nikon D4S prices, this camera is set at 60 million for body only. The price is commensurate with high-spec cameras. However, before that all returned to you. What kind of DSLR camera you need.
